Photo and video album for events

Your guests already have the photos.
You don’t.

Create the album, leave the QR code on the tables, and everything your people shoot lands in one place. Your guests download no app and create no account: they scan and they upload.

Three steps

From the table to the album, without explaining anything to anyone

Your guests never have to learn Fotara. They scan, they upload, they get back to the party.

  1. 23

    Create the album

Sign in with Google, Apple or a code sent to your email — no passwords, no card — and the QR code is ready that same second. The album is yours, and stays yours even if you change phones.

  2. 23A

    Share the QR code

You get a code to print and leave on the tables, and a link for the group chat. Whoever scans it is in.

  3. 24

    It fills itself

Every photo and video shows up in the album as it happens. You decide what stays — hide or delete anything.

Where it works

Any event where people reach for their phones

Which is, essentially, every event. These are the ones that come up most.

No friction

Everything it needs to do, and nothing your guests have to learn

They install nothing, they create no accounts, and they never have to work out how it runs. They scan and they upload. You decide what stays.

What you can do

  • Photos and video

From the gallery or shot on the spot, with separate buttons, so nobody has to retake a photo they already have. Videos up to 30 seconds.

  • Likes

Anonymous, one per person. They let the best shots surface on their own, without anyone having to pick them.

  • Full download

The whole album in one file, at high resolution. It is yours from day one.

  • Host controls

Hide or delete any photo or video, whenever you want. Whoever uploaded something can remove it too.

What nobody has to do

  • Nobody downloads anything

The album opens in the browser the phone already has. No App Store, no updates, no storage taken up.

  • Nobody can comment

There is no comment box under photos of your family. Nothing to moderate, and nothing you have to keep deleting.

  • Nobody has to ration photos

We don’t count them. Let everyone upload as many as they like; you take them all at high resolution.

Questions

What everyone asks before creating an album

Do my guests have to download an app?

No. They scan the QR code and the album opens in the phone’s browser, the same on iPhone and Android. There is nothing to install.

Do they have to create an account?

Your guests never do. You sign in once with Google, Apple or a code sent to your email — no password, one tap. That is what makes the album truly yours and lets you open it from any phone, even if you lose the one you created it on.

Can guests upload video?

Yes — photos and video, from the gallery or recorded on the spot with the album’s camera.

Who can see the photos?

Only whoever has the album’s QR code or link. There is no search, there are no public profiles, and albums are not indexed by Google.

Can I delete something I don’t want in there?

Yes. As the host you can hide or delete any photo or video at any time. Whoever uploaded it can remove it too.

How do I download everything afterwards?

One button. It builds a single file with the complete album at high resolution, ready to store wherever you want. Photos are optimised as they upload so they make it through even on bad venue wifi, and they are still more than good enough to print.

How much does it cost?

Creating an album and receiving photos is free — no card and no account. Large events will have a paid plan, and you’ll know before you need it, never in the middle of the party.

How long do the photos stay available?

The album stays open after the event so everyone can download their own. If it ever has to be archived, we email you well in advance.

Why are there no comments?

Because these are photos of your people, often of children. A comment space there needs moderation nobody can sustain properly, so we would rather not have it.
